Handy little util. It would be nice if you could add a checkbox "include all vowels". So that when I restrict the length to "14" for instance while letters/numbers/symbols are also selected, I can be sure that the resulting string will contain all vowels in it (a e i o u y).

So you want a checkbox that would exclude consonants? So a password would be like, for example: u8ai4u37e7u

Not precisely. Lets say I select letters(lower) + numbers + "all unique characters" and limit the password to "12", the resulting string might come out like "y4dk9w6u1ti3". Which is cool but where are the letters a, o, and e? You see? I would like to simply ensure that all vowels (a,e,i,o,u,y) will be present in the result regardless of other options that have been selected. Although you gave me an idea with that though. The checkbox could be set to include OR exclude vowels OR consonants! That would be even more powerful but probably a pain to set up since you have to figure out how to handle upper & lower case scenarios...  Smiley Oh, and before I forget, if that is too difficult or you don't find any use for it, I was also wondering if we could include special characters in passwords checkbox (e.g. €, Þ, ©)...

Well, enforcing each vowel is in a password is pretty specific and inherently not random. So I probably won't add a feature like that. Adding an option for really crazy characters may be possible, however there could be problems displaying some characters in all browsers. Plus when I think about it, theres no easy way to type most of these crazy characters, which I guess is both a good thing and a bad thing for passwords. That I'll put on my list...

Well, you could do something like this then for the special characters: hxxp://www.techzoom.net/tools/password-generator.en. See that is where the user can add his own characters into the "mix" including ALT combinations like ALT+0128 (€). Maybe there could be a handy drop down or something that would be conveniently available to the side for user-reference to these type of characters. This way the user doesn't have keep referring to the charmap utility in windows.

I'll think about it next time I'm working on the utility :-)
