For one, it is said Firefox, not FireFox, as indicated on the website. Therefore, the abbreviation would not be FF, it would be Ff, or just Firefox.
I used to use Firefox untill I found out how much memory it uses. Up to 100,000 KB. The truth is, Firefox 3 is slower in Internet Explorer 7*.
Firefox is actually a horrible browser. There are a lot of Firefox myths, such as it having lower system requirements then Internet Exploer 7, this is not true at all. Firefox's minimum system requirements are Pentium 233 MHz CPU, 64MB RAM, 52MB of HD space and Windows 98 or sooner.
While Internet Explorer 7's system requirements are 66 MHZ CPU, 16MB of RAM, 11.5MB of HD space and Windows 98 or sooner.¹
Myth: Firefox is the fastest browser.  Reality: Opera is the fastest browser for Windows.
Myth: Firefox is Faster than Mozilla Reality: Ironically Mozilla 1.8 is faster than Firefox 1 and 2 in 5 out of 7 measures of performance.
Myth: Firefox is more secure then Internet Explorer 7. Reality: Firefox is anything but secure. Since Firefox was released, users have been exposed to over 400 security vulnerabilities and counting. You only need one vulnerability to be insecure.
Myth: Firefox is the most secure browser. Reality:Opera is currently the most Secure Web Browser in Windows.
Myth: Firefox supports extensions and Opera does not. Reality: Opera supports extensions known as Widgets.
Myth: Firefox was the first Web Browser to include Tabbed Browsing. Reality: Opera was the first browser to introduce tabbed browsing back in 1994 while Firefox tabbed browsing arrived in 2004. 10 years before Firefox.
These facts, and many more Firefox myths can be found here: http://home.comcast.net/~SupportCD/FirefoxMyths.html

I think that Opera, or Safari are good examples of a great browser.

*According to 5/7 browser speed tests.
¹ The minimum requirements for Opera are 20 MB of disk space and Windows 95.

I agree that Safari is a better browser than Firefox. I use Safari on my computer. And the new Safari 4 beta is supposed to be the fastest thing ever. The purpose of all the Pro-Firefox stuff isn't really "get firefox" as much as it is "get off IE! and hey you might as well use firefox"
Arguing a few MHz difference in minimum requirements is a pretty moot point when modern desktop computers are well over 10 GHz. A high end mac pro is 23.44 GHz. The idea is lets get all the people on the internet using standards compliant browsers. Firefox is a fine browser, and it is the first browser to every get a significant piece of MS's pie.
Also your 'reality' to the firefox is more secure than IE7 'myth' doesn't actually mention IE7, or mention which really is more secure.
Again, complaining about a web browser, which is likely the most well used piece of software on your computer, using 100 MB in a day when 2 GB is the basic minimum for RAM is kind of silly.

The most important aspect of "Get Firefox" isn't firefox, it's stop using IE. Firefox is a great default alternative, but if you can find something even better, go for it. IE has been holding back the web's potential for years and years and years. Where the web is today, it easily would have been 5 years ago if it wasn't for IE, and it's completely contempt for web standards, and huge market share via the majority of computer users who don't know any better.

This hasn't been a well organized post buuuuuuuuut tough luck it's my website ;-)

Draginz, if you're going to complain about "FF" not being the proper abbreviation, then maybe you should at least get it right yourself! It is not "Ff", it is "Fx"!

So, Fx is a pretty bad browser. I would still rather use Fx3 than IE7. Though, I use Google Chrome and Opera, because they are two awesome browsers!
